FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Will I receive any certificate, license or accreditation for this course?

No. This workshop is for recreational purposes only. Participation in this class does NOT qualify you to practice massage therapy for financial compensation or to teach others the techniques that you learn.

What if I am uncomfortable about disrobing?

Your comfort is our top priority. We have chosen a large venue for this course, in order to allow breathing space for each pair. While disrobing, lights will be dimmed and you will be taught how to create “a privacy tent” with the top sheet and blanket as your partner disrobes. You will also learn professional draping techniques as to not expose your partner. We also offer individual private classes at our home base at The Grassroots Gallery & Massage (located in Brighton) if that is more up your alley! You are always more than welcome to leave your clothes on as well.

I have sensitive skin, what ingredients are in the lubricant provided?

Our handmade body butter is made with: Mango Butter, Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Almond oil and Jojoba oil. If you are sensitive to any of these ingredients, you are welcome to bring your own to class. Please refrain from bringing in anything with heavy perfumes and fragrances.

What if something comes up and we are unable to attend the class we purchased?

Unfortunately, due to the limited size of the workshop, we cannot guarantee a refund with less than a seven-day notice. If you know you will be missing the class and send us an email with at least 72 hours-notice, you will receive a credit for a future workshop. If something comes up with less than 72 hours-notice you are welcome to sell or gift your “ticket” to a pair of friends/family…please let us know who you are sending in your place.

What should we wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable baggy clothes that you don’t mind potentially getting stained with oils. You will want to wear either a short sleeve shirt or tank top while giving the massage, since we will be using our forearms as a tool. When receiving the massage, most opt to either wear nothing (while being professionally draped) or to wear only underwear. Although we ultimately encourage you to wear what’s most comfortable to you!

What should we bring?

Everything you will need is provided! You may just want to bring your water bottle.
